The Dawes plan was ment to reform the reparations after the First World War.
The reparations were seen as unfair and destroying Germany
Once again the United States broke their idea of Isolationism
The Dawes Plan was succeded by the Young plan several years later

Due to the extremely unfair treatment of Germany during the First World War the United States once again defied isolationalism and decided to do somthing about the reperations put on Germany after their loss during the war. Unfortunatly many of the proposals went unheard and eventually after several revisions the finalised Young plan came to fruition, to little effect unfortunately.
